As physicians, we recognize our time is limited, and we want to spend that time helping patients. Unity Health Partners allows physicians to practice medicine without the additional administrative burden that comes with traditional value-based models. This is achieved by aligning metrics and incentives across all three critical stakeholders.
Alignment extends beyond our care-delivery partners to include a critical fourth dimension of care: Apex Health. As a Management Services Organization (MSO), Apex delivers value through four capabilities:

Health Plan
Disruption continues to occur in the payer space, as insurance companies and large employers further develop “payvidor” business models. The incentive is often to keep people healthy and out of the hospital, which often doesn’t align with the traditional FFS approach employed by Health Systems. We believe value creation doesn’t need to come at the expense of ”downstream” health systems. By aligning incentives that include the health system, we deliver a superior experience for our patients, and stakeholders can all benefit from a pro-active health and wellness approach.
Health System
Covid-19 has exposed the fragility of the traditional fee-for-service approach upon which most health systems are still dependent. Health systems that manage the whole dollar are fairing far better, as value-based arrangements mitigate volume exposure and create resiliency. By providing Health Systems a way to invest in the upstream value of delivering patient-centered, pro-active care, hospitals are no longer dependent on volume and instead compete on quality. Unity Health Partners – powered by the expertise and data transparency delivered by Apex Health – becomes the catalyst in a financially responsible transition away from FFS care.
